- jhuLu jhuLu - (flow of a river) - bheemeshwari baLi kaveri nadi jhuLu jhuLu hariyitu.[Near Bheemeshwari, Kaveri river flows continuously]
- gala gala/kila kila - (sound of a kid laughing) - magu gala gala/kila kila anta naguttittu.[The kid was laughing very happily]
- gaLa gaLa - (used to symbolise crying) - huDugiya chocolate keLage biddaaga, gaLa gaLa - anta attaLu [When the girl's chocolate fell down, she cried profusely]
- paTa paTa - (fluent, continuous) - avaLu Kannada~dalli paTa paTa anta maataDidaLu.[She spoke fluently in Kannada]
